I had a nice stay at the Holiday Inn Seattle Dwtn Lake Union. The location is pretty great, just a short walk from the Space Needle and Union Lake. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with a fridge and coffee maker, but I did have some noise issues from the gym upstairs. The breakfast was a highlight for me, as it offered a sit-down experience, which is a bit rare for Holiday Inns.

Rooms

The room was spacious and well-equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. However, noise from the gym above was bothersome during one day of my stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, going out of their way to help me during my stay.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Space Needle and other attractions, although it felt a bit distant from some busier tourist areas.
Dining

Breakfast was excellent, not your typical grab-and-go but a proper sit-down meal with generous portions.
Facilities
7.0
While the facilities were generally well-maintained, the gym above my room created some noise disruptions.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Seattle Downtown - Lake Union had its ups and downs. While the staff was friendly and the location was convenient for attractions like the Space Needle, I experienced some plumbing issues and found the rooms to be dated. Despite the issues, the hotel was clean, and I appreciated the comfortable bed.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and clean, but it felt outdated, lacking features like USB ports. I also had plumbing problems with a running toilet and a slow drain, which were addressed only after several requests.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were polite and helpful, but the follow-up on my issues was lacking. I spoke with a manager who promised to address my concerns but ultimately didn't deliver on her promises.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic, just a 15-minute walk to the Space Needle and near other attractions. It was easy to get around the city from there.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, as there was no actual kitchen in the hotel. The nearby cafe had poor service at times and the breakfast options were overpriced for what was offered.
Facilities
5.0
There were issues with one of the two elevators being out of service, causing long waits. The general facilities felt aged and could use an update.

I had a decent stay at the Holiday Inn Seattle Downtown, though it wasn't without its quirks. The location was fantastic for exploring popular spots like the Space Needle, which I appreciated. However, the hotel is showing its age, with only one working elevator leading to some delays. While my room was clean and comfortable, I didn't find the restaurant options particularly appealing. Overall, it was a reasonable choice for a short stay, but I wouldn't call it really good.

Rooms
7.0
My room was adequate, clean, and equipped with essential amenities, but it had a dated feel. The air conditioning wasn't functioning well, fluctuating between too hot and too cold (which was annoying).
Service
9.0
I found the staff to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially during check-in. One staff member, Mike, really stood out with his helpfulness and genuine hospitality.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was one of its strong points, being within walking distance of the Space Needle and other attractions. However, it was a bit inconvenient for public transit access, especially if the weather wasn't great.
Dining
6.0
I didn't dine much in the hotel, but I noticed the restaurant attached had some options. I had a couple of complaints about the breakfast service's timing and quality, and felt there could be better alternatives nearby.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel lacked some modern amenities, it was generally well-maintained despite its older appearance. The elevator situation was frustrating but manageable if you used the stairs.

My stay at Holiday Inn Seattle was a mixed bag. I loved the location, just a short walk to the Space Needle, but I had some serious issues with the service and costs. Paying for parking and breakfast left a sour taste, especially given the price I paid for one night. Overall, while the staff was friendly, there were definitely some downsides that made me hesitate to return.
